Well, we're back. The rest of our trip is going to be explained here as best as I can remember, but don't feel bad if I forget to put everything down. I know I'll miss some stuff, and it was all important to me. On Thursday, after we got back from Lethbridge (to find my parents finishing the rest of the fence painting) we just kicked around close to home. He went to the wreckers again, took a look around and found 3 supras in one of them. I had coffee and browsed some shops with my Dad. We had lunch with Mom, Dad, my sister and Mom's friend from work. Then we went and did some more browsing and came home for another outside supper. I think we ate outside every day we were there. On Friday we (me, him, Mom and Dad) went to Kimberley for some Alpine Slide action. He was beaten badly by my Mom last year, so was hoping to regain some of the loss. Unfortunately, the ski hill has apparently retired the ride. So we went up the chair lift to the top of the hill instead. It was beautiful, and terrifying as I am afraid of heights, but I am proud to say I made it!! As we were coming down we could see the old mining train pulling into the parking lot for it's last ride of the day. We raced over to it and Mom managed to get us tickets in time, so we left Dad there to take the truck and meet us in the Platzl for pick up. Oddly though, when we arrived he wasn't there. After about 15 minutes he pulled up in a taxi! It seems the truck, the DIESEL truck, had run out of fuel. This is apparently a very bad thing. While we were deciding what to do next, we went for dinner in the Sully pub. Poor N, he's not used to pubs at all as he doesn't drink, and he was a little uncomfortable initially. The food was good though, and then we called the same cab to take us, and some diesel, back to the truck to find out if it would start. Mom and I opted to browse the second hand kid shop and then walk to the truck. Good thing too. By the time we made it down to the truck, the two of them were just sitting in it, waiting for a tow from BCAA. I guess that when a diesel truck runs out of fuel, it can actually break it. We had to call my grandma to come to Kimberley to pick us up, and Mom had to call her friend and cancel her pending camping trip because the BCAA guy said the fuel pump thing had broken. It was going to cost $3000, plus labour to fix it. My dad handled the news admirably. I was so proud, so was my mom. :) We got back to the house just before 10:00pm, and Dad left to drive my grandma home. And then the BCAA guy called, and said that the truck started and could we come down and get it!!! Yay!! It was definitely good news, and everyone was very happy!

On Saturday my sister took N and I up Mausse Creek. This is a mountain. And it was very hot!!! But when we got to the tarns (alpine meadow pools, I think) it was absolutely beautiful! Definitely worth the 2-hour climb. And we kept going. Into Paul Simms pass, which has a beautiful view of the glacier on the other side of the Steeples mountain range. We took some very nice pictures, and videos, and came home to relax.

On Sunday, we had an uneventful pleasant trip home. I didn't want to leave and cried for about the first 2 hours. It's so hard for me to leave, every time, even though I know I am way too old to actually be able to live at home anymore. But I just miss them so much sometimes. I really fit in when I'm with my family. And it's nice. Very nice.

That's enough for now, no need to make myself sad again over something I can't change. :)
