It's raining and I like it. I have had a headache for four days now. All day, and all night. So the rain is nice as I can lie on the couch and not worry about wasting any time that I should be spending outside. It's better like this. And darker.

My parents left this morning for a week in Cancun. They sure were excited about going. They spent last night here, and were up at 4:30 to get ready to go to the airport. Our apartment only has one bedroom so they sleep in the living room when they are here, and this morning they managed to have showers, use the hair dryer (I know this because I saw it when I got up), fold up the futon and leave via taxi, all without waking us up! They were quieter than mice. I have no idea why I wanted to write about that, except that they were freakishly quiet. And now they're almost in Mexico.

He is helping a friend move today. I think that it's good he's with friends. He's had a hard adjustment to make lately, a family tragedy, and I think it's been an awful lot harder on him than he lets on. He's been having trouble talking about it, so maybe a day moving a friend is just what the doctor ordered. I hope so. I don't know how to help him so maybe today will.
