It's finally finished!! I can hardly believe it, but it's done. It took 5 (!) coats of paint because "Peace blue" accidentally equals "Ikea blue" after 3 coats (we were in Ikea right before we went to buy paint, I wonder if that's how it happened?" and we had to take the last 3rd of the can back to have the paint tinted darker. So, another 2 coats were applied and now the colour is very similar to "Midnight blue" but we're out of luck if we ever want to paint another wall the same colour. This one is 'uniquely' ours, according to Wayne at Home Depot. But it's finished, and we love it! We bought a new fixture for the ceiling and he installed it, as well as a phone jack and new outlet, and we also bought new roman blinds for the windows, and boxes from Ikea to store crap in, so the bedroom is now the most 'crapless' room in the apartment. :) It's good, it is soooo good. Yesterday was full of finishing the room. And then cleaning up after ourselves. We've had the mattress from the bed in the middle of the living room floor all week, and were sleeping in there. The place actually looked like something exploded inside it. I don't know if I could have taken one more day, so it was very luck that we finished when we did.

Friday night we went to see Bill Cosby at the Orpheum! Wow! He is such a great man, every move he makes is calculated and timed perfectly to be funny. I wish so much that he was playing somewhere near my parents, because I know they'd remember it forever and my dad would probably have fallen out of his seat laughing so hard, but alas, it is not to be. Rats!

Does it feel like I'm rambling yet? I think this entry is getting pretty long, so I'm going to end it. We're going out for breakfast this morning (he likes to take me out every Sunday morning, isn't that sweet?) and then I think we're going to spend the rest of the day lounging. He's sick, and he never gets sick, so I want to make sure that he gets some rest before going back to work. Maybe I'll use the crock-pot and get dinner organized to cook tomorrow and be waiting for us when we get home. I love that! ;)
